ONS CENSUS 2021

A census is an attempt to collect data from every member of the population every 10 years.

The modern Census has been undertaken every 10 years since 1841.   The latest Census was conducted on 21. March 2021  for England and Wales and Northern Ireland.  Scotland’s census took place a year later in March 2022.

The data collected is being released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) throughout 2022 and 2023 as the ONS is responsible for disseminating census statistics for the UK.
